Candy Campbell, MA


Counselor, Spiritual Director

Candy is a pastoral counselor and trained spiritual director. She has a passion to see cross cultural workers live out of their true identity in Christ and walk in greater areas of freedom and wholeness. She enjoys working with people in areas of identity, attachment, burnout, grief, loss and transition. She and her husband Jeff raised and launched 4 children while living overseas for the past 30+ years.

Jeff Campbell, D. Min
Counselor, Spiritual Director

For Jeff it is all about journeying together. He has special interest in attachment (or unattachment) with God and between people. Jeff enjoys providing care to marriages, people in transition and those engaging challenging seasons where their faith is being stretched. He has 30 years of overseas experience where he and his wife Candy have raised and launched 4 TCKs.

 
 

Ellie Covey, BA
Spiritual Director

Ellie ministers to the needs of Third Culture Kids by creating community and fostering connection. Since 2014 she has been living cross-culturally and uses fun, the outdoors, and experiences to connect people to each other and to the Lord. Additionally she enjoys offering retreats, and training others to care for young people whom have experienced trauma.

Jessica Dagen, MA


Spiritual Director

Jessica offers spiritual direction as a space for people to encounter both God and themselves more deeply. Having grown up overseas, she has experienced firsthand how honesty in these intertwined encounters impacts flourishing, family health, and sustainability. She creates a space to discern creative means of reconnecting with God, especially in seasons of transition and disorientation.

Dr. Alex Galloway, Psy.D.
Clinical Psychologist

Alex has specialized interest in trauma recovery, sexuality and the holistic care of God’s people. He enjoys encouraging, equipping, and empowering those who minister on the “front lines.” Additionally, he trains and consults with sending agencies to ensure that our “sent ones” are Sent Well.

Vocational Coach

Amy makes a special contribution to the team through her communication gifting and heart for prayer. She coaches and trains in the discovery of calling and navigating major transitions in vocation, parenting, transitions, and women in leadership.

Admin & Operations Support

Maya has a Bachelor Degree in International Relations and a Masters International Business. Maya helps keep the wheels of SentWell moving with her administrative gifting. She cares deeply about providing holistic services to cross-cultural workers. She makes care possible in the services she provides.

Vivian Ochoa, MA
Counselor, Spiritual Director

Vivian provides spiritual direction and pastoral counseling. She has lived and served cross-culturally around the world since 2003.  She has experience in the areas of transition, grief and loss, interpersonal issues, crisis response, burnout, faith struggles and spiritual pathways. Vivian is especially passionate about seeing individuals develop intimacy with God and identity in Him. She enjoys meeting with individuals and small groups and is able to provide care in both English and Spanish languages.

Andrew Pickford, MHGI
Counselor

Andrew was previously a languages teacher in his native UK and provides counseling/psychotherapy in Spanish and English. He works with individuals and couples, particularly in the areas of addictions, anxiety, depression, sexuality and trauma. Andrew has lived in Spain since 2012 so understands well the joys and stresses of ministering and raising a family cross-culturally.

Pastoral Counselor

Jessica uses inner healing prayer and psychotherapy techniques to help people receive God’s healing and restoration. She ministers particularly in the areas of anxiety, depression, identity and sexuality. Having lived with her family in Spain since 2012, she is passionate about supporting those who have followed God’s call to live and serve cross-culturally.

Spiritual Director

Debbie ministers and trains in spiritual formation, retreat direction and pastoral counseling. She provides spiritual companionship as well as discernment and prayer rhythms for both individuals and teams.

Spiritual Director

Ardath provides Spiritual direction; pastoral counseling; and retreats for individuals, couples, and teams. She trains in areas of spiritual formation, spiritual companionship, and the inter-related knowledge of God and self. She also ministers in areas of debriefing as well as navigating life and spiritual transitions.

Laura Strahl, MA
Licensed Marriage & Family Therapist

Laura specializes in areas of trauma, anxiety, grief and loss and marital therapy. She is passionate about facilitating safe spaces for cross cultural workers to uncover themes in their stories that need to be witnessed and redeemed. She longs to see workers living from their Spirit-led selves, addressing needed healing and thriving emotionally, physically, mentally and spiritually.

 

Kenneth Strahl
Operations Director

Kenneth contributes to the success of our team by ensuring we have the structures and processes in place to help our team run smoothly. He has a Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering and leverages his many years of leadership and management in the corporate world for the sake of our team. James Covey, MA
Licensed Professional Counselor - Supervisor

James has been with SIL since 2011 serving as a counselor based in Kenya, the MENA region, and now Spain. His expertise includes; trauma recovery, children and adolescents, marriage and family therapy, stress management, addiction, burnout, anxiety and depression. He has certification with EMDR and training in CBT but desires to care for people holistically so that they thrive in their places of life and work.

Karin Middleton
M.Ed. & M.A. Theology

Karin seeks to empower families in ministry and encourage others to recognize the human dignity of very young people. She focuses on equipping parents to understand and appropriately spiritually nurture their children and teens in the unique context of living cross-culturally. Karin has a heart to work with parents seeking to help their children flourish as followers of Jesus.

Spiritual Director

Jenny offers spiritual direction and retreats in both individual and group settings. She also works with teams who are in the process of discerning what God is inviting them to in the process of making decisions. She believes that if a team can bring their questions to God and each other with openness and curiosity, they will find that he has much more to say to them than they might have originally imagined.
